Going Back to the Roots.

Going Back to the Roots.

How could I not love it when it’s all about being with family & surrounded by people I grow up with, and most amazingly hot summer weather with flowery colourful dresses are always there.

Between Heritage & Tradition
While a lot of people’s favourite part of Southeast Asia is the food, naturally mine has to be the colourful traditional clothes, especially “Baju Kurung” (aka Abaya) with "SONGKET".

I love to share snapshot of camera capture a likeness of traditional street fashion in Indonesia & Malaysia.
A joyful faces after wedding party.. Dress (baju kurung & sarong made of Silungkang songket)
(An outfit she proud to show off. Dress: Hand machine embroidery and beads embllished. Sarong : A songket "a traditional gold thread weaving cloth of Bukittinggi-West Sumatra.")
Sarong : A songket "a traditional gold thread weaving cloth of Pandai Sikek-West Sumatra.")
When gold was their heritage, red become tradition and embroidery is part of their life.

MEET SOME FRIENDS: By the afternoon, I was deep in the bright sun of Jakarta, the steamy weather was less delicious, it was 37 degree C. However, catching up with friends I didn’t meet for decades had kept me going. The ending story of “My Journey’s Tale” would inspire design of Dress & Code 24:31 product line.
