Fashion Life Style

Golden Grass Field of Peel Tower

Morning had begun like any other days, decide to go a little walk in countryside. So many times I would like to come to this place, but it's never happened until 2 weeks ago.

As usual, camera case full with all the little things I need, I put my mustard Clark boots on, sweater, bomber jacket, finally large circle scarf which I knitted during last summer for my winter collection.

Left the house around one clock, after getting lost a couple of time on the way. Happily, we arrived on the top before sunset, as we know how each passing day seems a little shorter and chillier these days, that what we call "Fall / Autumn".

The sky was very cloudy, I even couldn't see the sun. However the scenery is breathtaking I felt like I was walking on the field of golden grass, watching them turn from green to all varieties of gold, yellow and red is a spectacular experience. I saw the autumn grass, sitting careless on the floor with hair soft lifted by the winnowing wind. How can it be that all this beauty is a sign of death and decay? With all this beauty there is a certain sadness in knowing that the changing colours foreshadow the arrival of a long cold winter.

Fashion Trend - Autumn Colour

Get Ready For Fantastic Autumn

It feels like it was forever ago now, but back in April I set off on a journey to Far East for two months and flight back to England to spent my summer time at home.

Mid August, I jetted back to Far East "Jakarta" to company Mum after she had a summer break here. During a week journey I was lucky enough to meet some friends from high school, it was like bring back childhood memories. I loved the quality time we spent together enjoying each other’s company in warm weather with delicious spicy oriental food, enjoying the many activities and exploring the neighbourhood.

Being happy and catching up with friends that live in other parts of the world during this trip it was the icing on the cake!

 Autumn Palettes

Here I am.... Returns back to the chilly misty September! The morning of the first September was crisp and golden as an apple. I cannot endure to waste anything so precious as autumnal sunshine by staying in the house.

Life Style - Greeting Eid Mubarak

A Cup of Tea, Cake & Eid Mubarak

In my comfort zone in a corner of back yard my afternoon tea feel so special. Feeling exciting as we celebrate Eid al-Fitr also feeling down to say goodbye to the blessed month of "Ramadhan 1435" which ended this weekend. After an exercise in self-restraint that commands Muslims to abstain from eat and drink from sunrise to sunset, my afternoon cup of tea and slice of cake which I bake last night tasted so wonderful, plus a bright Sun shinning up in the blue sky, plus a complementary Eid present from my lovely sister in law "Jane". The only word I can say to describe the feeling is "Alhamdulillah".

Sssttt.. actually, I have a secret I keep deep down in the bottom of my heart, I try to forget and pretended it is not effecting my feelings, but every time I bite a slice of cake, the feeling rush out into my vein, run to my back bone and knock my brain with a question folllow by other questions without any answer.. Would you like to know what the secret is? Yes... Mr froggy from the little pond said, "let the secret feeling be shared with friends". Okay, I wonder how are the other people and children in conflict area like children in Africa, Burma and the children in Gaza celebrating their Eid al-Fitr, Are they feeling happy and wonderful too....? Anyhow I don't want to upset your feeling by knowing my secret and all of you start to talk about conflict & political issues, that aren't kind of subject I am interested in. No politics here please..

For all of you who celebrates Eid al-Fitr, wishing you very happy Eid Mubarak. Have a nice day for everybody on this planet Earth.........

Fashion & Inspiration - Colours

A Colourful Day at Garden Centre

Last week I was in the garden centre, a warm summers day might be a good idea to spend a little time to make up the back yard, which has been abandon for while. Choosing plants is sometime not easy with plenty of sophisticate plants and colourful flowers around. I am glad that at last minute before it close I managed to choose the plants for the hanging baskets and some colourful pansies.

Talk about dress for that day. I put on my full circle flora print skirt and off white blouse complete with a pair of gardening boots, the combination of July and girly scents mix with neutral seems to work wonders. The world of flora is an usually tend to come and go as the seasons change. Rather than presenting floral in their original, new interpretations of floral prints are a little more abstract than their traditional predecessors.

Saverah Fashion Weekend - 2013

From The Last Week Show

As some of you might have seen Saverah Fashion Weekend in London last week, which linked onto "Islamic Fashion". Rather than use the title Islamic Fashion show I prefer to call it a Fashion show inspired by Islamic theme. All the collections are great but some of them didn't comply with Islamic dressing code ~ indeed it is my personal opinion. Anyhow, it was exciting to be part of a group of fashion designers who are making their collections complementary to mainstream fashion in the traditionally western dominated fashion world.

Here are eye-catchers items from several designers (Chenille's Dubai based designer, Jeny Tjahyawati & Nuniek Mawardi Indonesia based designers, Sri Munawwarah & Neda Malaysian based designers & British base designers). Those items stick in my head easily even if you just looked at photo shot of catwalk images, the design borrowed from street or pop art to the 30's and oriental far east elements, which is suitable for the urban lifestyle .

I would love to talk on details the latest collection, but this month was pretty challenging. It's not very often that I sit down and do a spur of the moment blog post, shutting myself away and pretending I don't have to write to update my posting wasn't the reason, as everything has been so busy right now, I have to switch myself from blogger to designer n reorganize the webpage still in half way. Oops!

Colour & Trend Inspiration

Inspiration - Supermoon

Just 30 minutes pass midnight we were driving down the lane toward home. It was a beautiful night; I looked at the moon, it was casting a warm glow across the land, so quiet and peaceful. It was full and just came out from a big cloud where she was hiding for days. It made everything in the night lighter I could see so far it could have been twilight… hmm.. yea....twilight, definitely it was not daylight. The night sky was soft glowing bright blue. Wonder, is anybody out there weaving a hand to me? Well...... who knows, maybe someone or some Big-Thing sits on the moon looking down at all of His creation.

Even though, I m not a good writer but this tranquil night was inspired me.

Is a Secret being a Treasure of your Love?
Written by: Edrima W Hanson
Tuesday 23rd of July, 2013 ( 15 Ramadan 1434 AH)

The moon disappears behind the clouds.
And wind sweeps the story away,
The night, the world, the wind spin out their destiny.
Leave a secret that you keep inside.
So strong, so great.
It stabs my heart.
It traps inside my mind.
It haunts my sweet dream.
I do not see you, but love you blindly.
I love you because I know no other way.
Dies, the only one,
and I will die of love because I love you.
The light, the night, the sky were covered up
I made the wall of shadow draw back,
Beyond desire and act, I walk on
Return to the sea of silence.
In silence I come to see you
Only to see you, my love
It is I, my love, who knocks at your door.

What do you think of my poem? I don’t want to pretend that I am a writer I just like writing, sometimes I make a lot of mistakes on my writing, but mistakes couldn’t stop me, mistake is just another part of learning as long as we don’t repeat the same mistake.
